We received the statements as sent from Andrew at CMC and were again concerned that we exceed the insured amount at American Bank. It was also noted that we are carrying an inordinate amount in our checking account, equal to about one third of our annual budget.
On the Investing Listing Report three accounts show the rate as 99.00%. Not only does that rate seem high but the interest doesn’t show that return.
We recognized that we have a large snow bill for the year but could not find where that cost is listed.
Unlike years past there was no budget sent to all homeowners with the dues notice, we feel the budget should be available to all owners.
The Finance Committee has great concern about the townhouse roof replacement and a lack of fund to assure that roofs can be replaced if need be. Our roofs are different from most townhomes in that they drain onto one another and the failure of a neighbor to fix a problem could result in damage to another. Also matching roof colors due to fading and change of material will harm the value of other units. We would like to work with the BOD to rectify this potential problem.
