The Communications Committee (CC) has three members: Shannon Tully, Carol LeBlanc and Joel McClung. The CC has not met in person; all business has been coordinated via email.
Documentation
Because of Ashley’s departure, I changed the passwords to all electronic accounts, updated the master password document and sent it to Rich, Mike, Alan & Kylee. This document protects the HOA should something happen to Joel.
Web site
The CC manages the HOA’s current web site http://www.kensingtonhomeowners.com, paid until March 2025, and the new website https://www.KensingtonSquareHOA.com, paid until July 2023, both hosted by GoDaddy.
Groups.IO
- Yearly bill of $220 paid. We are covered until Oct 26, 2023.
- Statistics:
- Currently have 298 mailing addresses.
- 3 email addresses recently added as a result of the note Carol & I put on everyone’s trash can when the pickup dates changed from Monday/Thurs to Friday. All three indicated they did not know about the HOA mailing list, nor the web site.
- 2 (or 3?) got unsubscribed because it was marked as spam, including Rosemary. When this happens, I have been contacting them to get them resubscribed.
Communications
Carol & I put out 24-25 notices on trash cans when the pickup dates moved from Monday/Thurs to Friday. This means at least 10% (24 out of 244) of our residents didn’t get the word. Kylee has added a note to the trash newsletter being put on everyone’s door, and I will work with her to get a page added to the paperwork you receive when you buy a house in our community asking that the new resident join our mailing list and bookmark our web site. The combination of the newsletter & added paperwork guarantees that everyone in the community today and going forward knows about the communication methods we use.
