While options like assigned spaces or decals have been discussed, the HOA would prefer unit owners follow the parking regulations to ensure fair parking for all our residents and visitors. With vehicle counts per household varying widely and Fairfax County fire lane regulations prohibiting all street parking, parking remains limited.
Because we have many homeowners opting not to use their garage for their cars create an overall shortage of spaces for all residents and visitors. To help manage this shortage, we have designated resident and visitor parking areas and encourage all homeowners to utilize their garage.
Parking Rules & Guidelines
- Read All Signage: Always check the signs in your immediate parking area.
- Towed vehicles: Contact Battlefield Towing at 703-378-0059
- Consecutive Day Time Limit: Parking in both RESIDENT and VISITOR spaces are limited to two (2) consecutive days. For example, a car parked anytime on Monday in a parking section must be moved to a different parking section within the community by 10:00 PM on Tuesday.
- Moving Within the same parking section Does Not Reset the Clock: Briefly driving a vehicle away and returning or shifting to a different spot within the same parking section, does not reset the 2-day limit. The vehicle must be moved to an entirely separate parking section.
- 2-Day Cutoff Time: Tracking is based on consecutive calendar days rather than individual hours. If your vehicle remains in the same parking section for two consecutive days, it must be relocated by the second day.
- Extended Parking: For extended stays or multiple cars, please use the Billberry overflow parking lot.
- Commercial Vehicles: Commercial vehicles, campers, and oversized trucks are strictly prohibited.
- Vehicle Stickers: All up-to-date state tag and inspection sticker required.
- Short Driveways: If you park your car on an angle due to a short driveway, the vehicle must fit entirely within the boundaries of your designated driveway slots and may not overhang onto the sidewalk or street.
Community Open Parking Breakdown (127 Total Spaces)
RESIDENT and VISITOR spaces are limited to two (2) consecutive days. This is not HOURLY Parking.
- Cypress Vine: 5 Visitor only spaces.
- Lavender Keep: 24 Resident / 5 Visitor only spaces.
- Fox Keep: 7 Resident & Visitor spaces.
- Dickens: 9 Resident & Visitor spaces.
- Billberry: 21 Resident & Visitor spaces (Note: 2-hour limit posted for resident spaces in front of units 3865–3871).
- Billberry Overflow: 28 Resident & Visitor spaces (Board approval required after (14 days).
- Lady Somerset: 5 Resident & Visitor spaces.
- Portloe Terrace & Topsham: 23 Resident & Visitor spaces (Note: 2-hour limit posted for resident spaces in front of unit 3987).
- Falcon Wood Bend: No open parking
